ARCH 1202 Project 2 - Final Submission
Overall Concept:
Coal loader site is a rich site and it has been developed several times for human use- from aboriginal settlement to coal loader and now a centre of sustainability. My aim is to create a iconic architecture and a space that can be easily experienced by visitors. So the concept of this site is that having an impressive experimental journey as walking through the whole site and providing the spaces with different atmosphere to enhance the experience of the different art works.
Coal loader site has a long industrial history, so the tunnel's design is inspired from the Cargo Ship.

The tunnels are the main elements of coal loader. 3 tunnels will be knocked through, and used for experimental art space. But the front of the tunnel will be kept and used for the main entry. This design is inspired from the Ruins of St. Paul in Macau. Another tunnel is used for lab.
